Ven. Khadro: was born in Venezuela of European parents, has been a New Zealand resident for 12 years and has lead various mindfulness courses and retreats in different countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Colombia and India. Khadro is a NZ Buddhist Chaplain, a FPMT registered teacher, who is currently studying in a Masters Programme in Buddhist Philosophy and has served in various FPMT Centers around the world.
Ven Khadro is an old friend of Amitabha people. Over the years, so many people have found her retreats and courses truly wonderful, so we would like to make this weekend course available to as many people as possible. Therefore we'd like to offer this course by Dana (donation). To give you some idea of what it costs us: Amitabha Hospice will be offering a donation to Ven Khadro for offering this course for all of us. In addition, we have the facility expenses, advertising, catering, etc that we need to cover. Therefore we earnestly request that you be as generous as possible. We definitely understand the financial difficulties that most people face. However, we can't afford to lose money either, especially with the financial constraints that we are facing as a result of Covid-19. Therefore, please kindly keep our expenses and the donation we will offer Ven Khadro in mind when you make your donation to us. Usually these two-day courses cost participants between $100 - $400. If we set a price some people would write to us asking to pay by installments and that costs a lot of time and extra work. We know you understand and will offer what you can.
Places are limited, so we will need your donation before we can confirm your place. Cancellations can be made up to a week in advance for a full refund or you could nominate someone to come in your place.
Thanks for your kind generosity! We look forward to what will certainly be an amazing weekend with Ven Khadro!
